Step 1: Consultation!

This is a brief conversation over Zoom to get to know each other and a perfect time to tell me about your vision for the wedding!

Step 2: Engagement Shoot!

This may not seem necessary, but the Engagement Shoot is a crucial part of our process. This is where we begin getting to know you and building that chemistry between us and you. Being comfortable and natural in front of the camera is truly what produces the best photos. Having a camera in your face with a stranger telling you to do different poses is VERY uncomfortable the first time. That’s why we use the engagement shoot as an opportunity to get all the modeling jitters out of your system. You also get loads of photos to start posting before the big day!

Step 3: Getting Ready!

We’ll arrive with ample time in the morning to capture you getting ready with your best friends. We will most likely bring you a lil’ morning pick-me-up to get rid of some of that morning brain fog too! This is a great time to get excited and reminisce with your friends on good memories as we capture every candid moment of you getting dolled up for your big day.

Step 4: The First Look!

Now this is where the emotions really start kicking in… We live for the first look and we pray for tears! This is the first moment your very soon to be husband sees you in that *expensive*, show stopping dress you’ve been waiting to flaunt. This moment doesn’t just have to be for the groom either - we love first looks with bridesmaids and even more so the Father Daughter first look is always a heart churner!

Step 5: Pre-Ceremony Shenanigans!

There’s not always time for this one depending on the scheduling of the day; however, if there is a little free time for photos before the ceremony we love to do something fun with the bridal party. Some get all the photos with their bridal party - all the one-on-ones. Others like to take this time to do a tradition or something ceremonial. While some just want to shoot some AR-15s with the boys!

Step 6: The Ceremony!

Golden Glow’s trained, professional photographers and cinematographers won’t miss a beat during the ceremony. You will never have to worry about whether or not we’re prepared for the kiss - WE ARE. We treat every wedding like it’s the only wedding, because that’s how every couple deserves to be treated. You can breathe though, because in reality, we’ve done this countless times and we know what’s coming! So much so, that we’ll not only capture the kiss, but it will be well composed and show the emotion pouring through it.

Step 7: Post-Ceremony Family/Group Photos!

This is the time when the guests are having some appetizers and enjoying the cocktail hour you’ve planned for them. While that’s going on, we gather everyone you want photos with in an open area (usually a field with a pleasant backdrop) and crank through all the family photos, so we can make sure everyones happy and has a way to remember the day you got married! Only constraint here is we have to finish it up before everyone starts getting *hangry*!

Step 8: Sunset Session!

This is where the MAGIC happens! The time spent together at the engagement shoot pays off with this session. Time alone with the couple with nothing but golden light. The most cinematic shots come from this portion. Especially the cinematography! You can see some of that here: Sunset Session Videos.

The sunset sessions is where our experienced photographers here at Golden Glow have an opportunity to show off their creativity. Usually doesn’t take more than 30-45 minutes to capture the photos that you will hold dear to you for decades to come.

If you add on our Film Photography Package, this is usually a prime time for us to bust out the 35mm film cameras, load them up with some Porta 400 and snap some everlasting, grainy memories.

Step 9: Reception Photos!

After enjoying some much needed dinner it’s time for the reception. The time for toasts, first dances, garter tosses, cake cutting and so much more! This is another time of the day where we really just want you to be able to relax, unwind and enjoy yourself! Let loose and know that you can trust us to capture every precious moment.

Step 10: Send Off!

Lots of couples like to have a fancy sendoff; with sparklers, confetti, pots and pans you name it. Whatever fits the theme to end the night in a celebratory manner - sending the newly weds on their way to the honeymoon in style! We will be there for this moment with flash prepared for the low light photos, battery somehow still charged, and more than enough gigabytes left in the SD cards to capture the last few moments before we go home and get to the “Editing” portion of the Golden Glow Process.

Step 11: Uploading!

This step is fairly easy for us. Only caveat is that we will most likely have 250+ GB of content from your wedding if you had photos and video. Which this requires having a BIG external hard drive. We’re talking 20TB+. Then since we want to make sure everything is safe, we back up all the content in a cloud storage as well. Just in case you reach out 7 years from now asking for that one specific shot from your wedding :)

Step 12: Sorting!

I have to say, personally this is my least favorite portion of the “After” phase. Once everything is uploaded, we build 1:1 previews in Adobe Lightroom and sort through them. Getting rid of all the blurry or eyes closed pictures - we miss some here and there, but that’s okay just means you get to giggle at somebody’s funny face when you see them.

We can also upload all RAW images to Google Drive and send them to you to sort through and decide which images you want edited and delivered. Up to you with how involved in the process you’d like to be.

Step 12: Editing!

This is where Golden Glow gets to show off. We have developed a look and a style that is original to Golden Glow. It’s been years of trial and error to get the perfect color, texture and *glow* to our wedding work. All the editors at Golden Glow are highly trained in delivering exceptional photos that meet the Golden Glow standard.

Step 13: Delivering!

The delivery stage is well, to put it lightly - AWESOME! This is where we get to send you all the finished work!!! Personally, my favorite part because then I get to hear all the praise about how beautiful it all looks and “OMG you got THAT?! I’m in tears, Jake!”. Makes this whole process more than worth it. Reminds me of why I brought my talents to the wedding industry - to Illuminate Love for Life!

To get into the specifics - you will receive upwards of 700 edited photos delivered through ShootProof; a custom, beautiful online gallery that you can download, share and order prints from the easy to use interface. We also deliver all work over Google Drive as well.

If you had Cinematography as well - you will receive a link to the full video hosted on our Golden Glow Youtube page. This link is shareable and viewable to everyone you care to show. You will also receive a full HD, downloadable digital file delivered over Google Drive.

Step 14: The Anniversary!

You didn’t choose the Golden Glow Experience just to have it be over after the wedding. We focus on the relationships between us and our clients. That’s why we like to follow up with a little shock-and-awe package delivery on your 1 year anniversary. Let you know we’re still thinking about you, so you know you purchased more than just another service. You purchased some FRIENDS :’)

Step 15: Personalized Photo Book Design!

We will design you a unique, personalized photo book full of photos that capture every detail and moment of your wedding day. Couples love having these in their homes to look upon year after year. Let the grand kids look through them and play “who’s who”.

You are also free to design your own or choose from a preset design template.

Step 16: Prints!

Can’t forget to mention ordering prints! When your photo gallery is delivered to you (ShootProof link) you will be able to select and order photos straight form the gallery. Pick out sizes or accessories - tons of options! All super easy and simple to use, just a few clicks and prints will be on their way.
